Milk chocolate for Easter

Judgment is real, even with chocolate: dark chocolate is superior, while white chocolate is smugly decadent. Milk chocolate might be mainstream — or even lowbrow — but I, for one, love it the best.

Cocoa snobs might shudder, but I get my Easter chocolate fix right off the grocery store shelves:

  • Nothing beats a Cadbury Caramilk Egg — but forget the minis. It has to be a full-sized one to get the caramel-to-chocolate ratio right.
  • The only thing that pairs better with milk chocolate than caramel is peanut butter. President’s Choice Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Melts are savoury-sweet perfection.
  • For a melt-in-your-mouth treat, replace semi-sweet chocolate chips with their milk chocolate cousins anywhere you use chocolate chips — and if that includes in a sneaky handful straight out of the bag, I definitely won’t be judging you!
